AND THEN THERE WERE THREE!!
STICKERS WIN YET ANOTHER BILLBOARD SONGWRITING AWARD!!

Pittsburgh rock band THE STICKERS won their third Billboard Song Writing Award for the band's original song "Long Way Home." THE STICKERS placed in the top one and a half percent of over 30,000 worldwide participants. "Long Way Home" will be featured on the band's upcoming new and yet untitled CD/cassette to be released in 2000. THE STICKERS celebrated their award winning song with a performance (September 18, 1999) at the famous PGH night spot, Primanti's / The Blue Note in the South Side.

"Long Way Home" is a song written by THE STICKERS about the realities blue-collar workers have faced in Pittsburgh. The song was inspired by witnessing the closing of the mills and the closing of long time city-based companies such as the recently-defunct Nabisco plant. Regardless of the hardships endured, one characteristic that has set Pittsburgh people apart from those in other cities and is a defining and welcoming trait of our communities, are the close bonds, friendships and family values that are highlighted in the climax of the song. What better place to celebrate an award for this song than at a PGH staple like Primanti's / The Blue Note.
